It's been a long time!

Wow. It's been a long time since I last posted. I have been so busy with school, a new business, new apartment, and a lot of food and beer. I'm 23 and I just moved out of my parents house for the first time. Man, what an adjustment! It's tough to sit in your room when your roommates want to go out or stay in and get drunk every night. To make those alcohol calories even worse, they make me do... eat stupid things.

With such little time, I was always finding excuses not to go workout. It's easy to say I'm too tired to go to the gym when I just went to school all day and worked all night. That was until I went back up a pant size again! I went up one, exercised and dieted, wen down one, ate and drank, then went back up one. I'm really taking it serious again though. I kind of took all of the work I put into my body for granted and over the last 6 or 7 months slowly started to get out of shape again.

I haven't gained all that much weight, but getting back into a regular workout routine has been tough. I can now say that I have a solid foundation to work on and some progress under my belt. That seems to be the key to exercising regularly. PROGRESS! Now that I have progress, I have a lot more to lose if I give up now. Working out 2 times then stopping isn't so bad. Working out 4 times per week for a month and losing 15 pounds, then stopping- that's hard to do.

I'm up to about 3 weeks of regular workouts now. I feel great and look great. I even went shopping for new clothes last night =) I'm hoping to get back into my skinny jeans! I can button them up again, but if I keep them buttoned for more than 5 minutes, I will probably have to have my legs amputated due to the lack of blood flowing to them. Ideally, within the next month, they should be fitting loosely on me again! I'm excited! and YES, guys can have skinny jeans too! Even straight guys.

Hey MM. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I totally feel your struggle with exercise. Right now I'm in the going 4 times a week for a few months mode, and I'm trying very hard to keep it up. I can imagine that if I had a 2nd job or an after-work activity like a play to keep me busy, I would fall off the workout wagon hard and fast. Keep up the good work, and yeah The Police broke up 23 years ago and just reunited to play the Grammys and do a new tour, so it's kind of a big deal to people who were fans of them in the 80s (like my fiancee.)

Yeah, it's been tough, but actually getting off my butt and going again has made everything easier. My whole life is easier than it was before I started working out regularly again! I wake up and have energy every day. I wrote my e book to make sure I never forgot how great I felt after I lost the weight. It worked! =)

I am not old enough to like Sting that much, but I'm sure they will put on an awesome show!

i think we americans are getting so fat and it's harder to keep it off because of the abundance of high fructose corn syrup in our food and the abundance of microwaved, processed foods. i think our bodies think we're in starvation mode because there are littl nutrients and tons of chemicals and pesticides in the foods and our bodies think we're not actually eating. just my thought.

That actually makes a lot of sense. It's probably true. I know that when I eat healthy, I can eat less and not be hungry all the time. When I eat poorly, I crave food all day, even when I'm totally full.
